The 2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty leads the full-size pickup truck market. Choose from a two-door Regular Cab, extended Super Cab, or the roomy Crew Cab, and an 8-foot or 6-foot-9-inch bed.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
Offered in XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited trim levels, the base XL model features black grille and bumpers, quad beam headlamps, 17-inch painted steel wheels, door mirrors with telescoping feature for towing, an illuminated cargo bed, and a trailer hitch. XLT trim has chrome bumpers and grille accents, fog lights, power mirrors with turn signals, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Lariat models have a Super or Crew Cab and offer a chrome grille, a trailer hitch light, and a rear spotlight. King Ranch is only available with a Crew Cab and features illuminated side steps and LED bed lighting. Platinum and Limited models have front and rear LED lighting, power-deployable side steps, 20-inch wheels, and an integrated tailgate step.
Engine (Power)
Standard power is provided by a 6.2-liter V-8 engine delivering 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. Standard in Limited trim and available for other models is a 450 horsepower 6.7-liter V-8 turbo diesel that pumps out a massive 935 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission is mated to both engines.
Performance
The F-250 is all about hauling and, depending on the configuration, you have a maximum payload of up to 4,270 pounds. You have a towing capacity of up to 18,500 pounds when properly equipped. All models are available with all-wheel drive for off-road capability.
Interior
XL trim is work oriented and has hard-wearing vinyl seating, 40/20/40 split front bench, 60/40 split rear seats (in two row models), a 2.3-inch multi-information display, air conditioning, and a four-speaker or six-speaker sound system. The XLT has cloth upholstery, cruise control, a multifunction steering wheel, a 4.2-inch multi-information display, and an infotainment system with satellite radio and a 4.2-inch touch screen.
Lariat trim adds leather-trimmed seats, an eight-inch multi-information display, dual-zone climate control, power adjustable pedals, a leather-bound steering wheel, power rear window, a 4G Wi-Fi hot spot, smartphone integration, and premium 10-speaker audio.
King Ranch features push-button start, cooled and heated front seats, chrome-accented leather and wood panels, a heated steering wheel, memory power pedals, ambient lighting, and voice-activated navigation. Platinum offers heated rear seats, while the Limited has a dual panel moon roof and a unique two-tone leather interior.
Safety Features
Ford Co-Pilot 360 technology is standard and includes AdvanceTrac with roll stability control, trailer sway control, a tailgate mounted rearview camera, and an SOS post-crash alert system. The Lariat adds reverse parking sensors, while Platinum offers a blind spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert and trailer tow. The range-topping Limited features lane keep alert, adaptive cruise control with collision alert and brake support, and a 180/360-degree camera system for all-round vision. Limited trim also has the option of adaptive steering for easy maneuvering in any situation.
